Breast Reduction (Women)

Breast reduction is a procedure used to balance difference in breast size, to improve body contour or minimize the discomfort of pendulous breasts. It involves the surgical removal of excess glandular tissue, fat, and skin, and the repositioning of the nipple and areola, accordingly. It is a procedure that is most definitely "not for women only," because the psychological effects of oversized breasts can be seriously psychologically damaging for men.

Liposuction is another method of breast reduction. It may be used to remove excess fat from the armpit area. In most cases, the nipples remain attached to their blood vessels and nerves.
