Mini Facelift

Mini facelift is a very popular cosmetic procedure. It is a partial facelift involving the anterior aspect of the full facelift. The incision is placed in front of the ear and extends upward into the hairline. It lifts the jowls, also tightening just below the chin, and lifts the cheeks. The procedure takes about an hour to an hour and a half, and is usually done in the office under local anesthesia.  The stitches used are dissolvable, and are removed in a week. There is minimal downtime with this procedure, usually a day or two. Bruising is usually minimal to none. Pain is minimal, usually requiring only Tylenol.

Patients are usually younger, in their forties or fifties. However, older patients with more facial aging may be candidates for the procedure if they only want a slight correction with minimal downtime and a natural appearance.
